Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
My right to say what I want. Thank God I'm an American.
BTW-you don't know me and probably is alot like assume. If at the end of this year, we see a state champion in boy's basketball from the LPD, then I'll be glad to eat that crow. The trouble with the truth is that some folks can't handle it, and it hurts/pisses them off. Sorry that you are so thin-skinned
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
Well my honest assessment, both coaches come through the same system (Bentley), and both seem to coach to that style. A good win for old one leg Mills since he played there. For a team playing one senior most of the game, they battled well in a hostile environment, because the way Kelly's gym is, in my opinion, its one of the toughest places to play. A good, and judging by the comments on here, unexpected win for the Wave boys.
As for the girls contest, Clintwood seemed to be really playing well, and some lineup changes seemed to cause problems, and they never could stop the momentum once Kelly got it. The loss of Blevins due to injury really showed as Unchained said, due to lack of a consistent outside threat (which she was). Hopefully one of the younger players can step up for the girls.

Uh-Oh Rock, may wanna disagree with me, since I apparently am clueless about basketball
Brian is gonna be a good coach. I've known "country" since we were 5, and he's a hard-worker who will get results. I thought that #3 was quick and #40 was a load.
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
Well Unchained, the only thing I figure they are saying is, its first district game, and while it wasn't exactly a pretty game, with the style that I think both teams plays, it wasn't exactly as horrific as you say or demanding of a public apology on here to elp6n. I mean I had watched the Kelly boys play in the tournament over at Battle and they looked pretty good over there, Clintwood didn't look good over there. Tonight Clintwood managed to turn up the defense a bit, the refs actually let the players play (lots of junk could have been called on both teams, they let them play for once), and Kelly didn't have a lot of shots fall. I think Kelly will be a very improved team this year, and if Clintwood can play as a team like they did tonight, they could be a bit of a surprise.
I wouldn't quite judge or doom them from 1 game though, sounds to much like some did when GC lost in football to Richlands.
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
I'll tell you exactly what is wrong with the girls. Some girls get excused from practice all week, then you know what, they play on game nights, and the girls who practice all week , well you know what, sit and reach water. You put in girls who don't practce, you get what you ask for. A bunch of lost girls! Had the Lady Indians by 8, then wham the subs and end of story. Great game Lady Indians, and Coach Mills has the boy's going in the right direction, and you know what? They are having fun!!!!!!!!!
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
Obviously the "public apology" was done in satire. In truth, she was very supportive of me in my agony. JJK may still have a decent season, who knows? I have said before that this year was going to be one of those "any given night" years. Parity from top to bottom no doubt.
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
Glad to know I'm not the only one that calls him Country. That's how I've known him as long as I've known him.
I think he realized like the rest of us, he's not as young as he used to be (hurt his foot practing with the team). I think he said broke a couple bones and tore ligaments, and those durn stairs at Kelly about did him in twice going to the locker room.
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
I went over to him to wish him luck, and he was telling me (rather sheepishly) how he did himself in-lol. He's my age, and we "old farts" know better than that
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
I know the apology was done as a joke, but like I said, Kelly looked pretty good in the Battle tournament. When everybody was picking Kelly by quite a few on here, you notice I didn't comment, because truthfully, the way Clintwood played over there and the way Kelly played, I wouldn't have been shocked, but a few of the younger players from Clintwood are maturing faster, and a few of the older ones actually are buying into the style and the effort Mills wants.
Bolling is a difference maker, if he's on, the Kelly team will look very good. If he has a tough night, until some of the others develop, they'll struggle.
Re: A Public Apology To elp6n
Oh well it was good meeting you tonight unchained. You may not remember me but i was sitting behind Mills. I was the one that he said broke it...He stepped on my foot.
